Mary Humiston is a global leader with experience spanning Human Resources, Finance, and Business Transformation across a wide range of industries and sectors. Mary most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Rolls-Royce plc, headquartered in London, where she led a global workforce of 55,000 across 30 countries and co-led the company’s enterprise transformation.
Prior to Rolls-Royce, Mary was Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Communications, and Public Affairs at Applied Materials, a global leader in semiconductors, where she also led the Europe and Asia regions, overseeing all Country Presidents and their teams. Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at Honeywell International and began her career at General Electric, where she was part of the esteemed Human Resources Leadership Program and later selected for the company’s prestigious Corporate Audit Staff. Mary earned her Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and completed undergraduate studies at Siena University and Oxford University. Since retiring from corporate life, Mary has continued to shape the future of work as the Founder of Modern Career, a business focused on helping individuals navigate and thrive in today’s rapidly evolving career landscape. She also served as a Strategic Business Advisor to Accenture and as Executive Director of the Accenture Chief Human Resources Officer Forum, a global collaboration of the world’s top CHROs. In addition, she has been a Senior Advisor to iCIMS, an innovative Talent Cloud company, and an Executive Coach to leaders at organizations such as Nasdaq, Marathon Petroleum, Johnson Matthey, and Northrop Grumman.
