Gary Zarr Appointed as Interim Vice President for Strategic Communications and External Relations

I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Mr. Gary Zarr as Interim Vice President for Strategic Communications and External Relations. Mr. Zarr will begin on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Mr. Zarr is a senior executive with a broad range of professional experience in communications, marketing, and public affairs in diverse employment sectors. Prior to starting Gary Zarr & Associates (GZA), Mr. Zarr served as Executive Vice President for Marketing and Communications for the National Basketball Association (NBA); Senior Vice President for Communications and Business Development for the American Museum of Natural History; Executive Vice President and Assistant to the President for the global communications consulting firm of Rubenstein Associates; Vice President for Public Affairs for Battery Park City Authority of New York; and as Chief of Public Information for the New York Department of Parks and Recreation.
After graduating from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, Mr. Zarr received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Biology from New York University (NYU). In addition, Mr. Zarr earned a Master of Arts in Journalism from NYU.
