The Passing of Dr. Albert S. Paulson
From the President's Desk
It is with great sadness that I write to inform you of the passing of Dr. Albert S. Paulson, the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Professor in the Technologies of Management, on Sept. 20.
Dr. Paulson served as a consultant to international firms and government agencies. His research interests ranged across risk management, applied statistics, innovation and radical innovation, information processing, finance, insurance, engineering, and statistical arbitrage. Dr. Paulson’s work has been widely published.
Dr. Paulson earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in Statistics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and a B.A. from Kings College.
Our deepest thoughts are with the family of Dr. Albert Paulson, and we honor the contributions he made to both the Rensselaer community and to the world. Details will follow about a service in his honor.
