Resignation of Ms. Barbara Hough, Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer
From the President's Desk
I am writing to announce the resignation of Ms. Barbara Hough, Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective October 12, 2021. Over the past three years, Ms. Hough has provided financial input to the strategic planning process. Under her leadership, over 75% of the Institute debt has been refinanced, reducing future debt service payments by over $100 million. During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Hough transitioned Finance division operations to remote status without any disruption in services, while working with me to maintain the financial position and liquidity of Institute operations.
Ms. Hough has been a valued member of my leadership team and the Rensselaer community. Please join me in wishing Ms. Hough well as she begins the next chapter of her professional career.
